Description We are in search of a meticulous Billing Clerk for a role in the construction/contractor industry, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, where you'll be tasked with managing customer accounts, processing payments, and resolving billing issues. This is a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer billing details and ensure timely invoicing.

• Manage and resolve account cancellations and delinquencies promptly and professionally.

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding their billing status and provide solutions where necessary.

• Collaborate with Process Analysts to handle billing exceptions including policy interfaces, credit card exceptions, and pricing health exceptions.

• Perform root cause analysis of billing issues and implement corrective action to ensure proper payment application.

• Track and report the status and progress of all exceptions until resolution.

• Review and categorize credit card exceptions into action-specific buckets for resolution.

• Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure compliance with billing industry standards and trends.

• Identify opportunities to streamline all billing activities.

• Proficiently use Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas for billing calculations and data analysis. Requirements • Minimum of one year experience in a similar role within the construction or contractor industry.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Billing, Billing Statements, and Contractual billing.

• Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and familiar with Excel Formulas.

• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• High school diploma or equivalent required, further education in a related field is a plus.
