The High School Principal is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the high school and ensuring that students receive a quality education. They must create and enforce policies and procedures that meet state and federal regulations as well as standards set by the Superintendent and the Board of Education. The Principal works closely with staff, parents, and the community to maintain a positive learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the administration and organization of the high school
Develop and enforce policies and procedures
Evaluate and supervise the performance of teachers and staff
Collaborate with staff to develop and implement curriculum and instruction
Monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to improve student achievement
Communicate regularly with parents and the community
Manage the school budget and allocate resources appropriately
Maintain a safe and secure environment for students and staff
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and school board policies
Qualifications
Hold NYS Certification as a School Administrator or School Building Leader.
5+ years of teaching experience
2+ years of administrative experience
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with state and federal education regulations
Ability to manage resources and prioritize tasks effectively
Dedication to providing a high-quality education to all students
