Summary

We have a great opportunity for a Production Planner to join our busy Civil Power Production team.

As a Civil Power Production Planner you will be responsible for converting the Master Production Schedule (set by the Central Planning team) into an achievable Production Plan for the Civil Power Value Stream.

The Production Planner must consider capacity and constraints and hold the Production team accountable for execution of the plan.

This role requires analysis of a 13-week window, and sometimes further, working closely with Material Planners, Sourcing, Operations, and other key functions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conversion of Master Production Schedule (MPS) to Value Stream Production Plan across multiple build levels

  • Support MPS creations and reschedules aligned to business strategy

  • Create Production Plan with consideration of process, machine, and resource capacity

  • Drive actions associated to key deliverables on Work in Progress (WIP) and Inventory management

  • Work closely with cross-functional team to generate build forecasts and Clear to Launch (CTL) statuses

  • Develop Production Planning tools and calculations, whilst contributing to Site standardisation

  • Communicate the status of the Plan to all levels of the business

  • Ability to balance multiple Key Performance Indicators (KPI) on delivery, inventory, and cost

  • Work with Materials Leader to deliver on personal priorities associated to KPI’s

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge and experience in production planning or supply chain operations

  • Relevant experience in Materials/Production Planning and Execution

  • MS Office Packages – Specifically Excel

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong system knowledge of Oracle ERP or another ERP system
