Job Summary

We are thrilled to offer an outstanding opportunity at Emerson for a talented Techncial Lead/Senior CAD Automation Engineer! We are seeking a candidate to join our dynamic Pressure Management Team. This role involves both independent work and collaborative effort within a team setting, primarily focused on developing an automated tool for generating general arrangement drawings, incorporating them into our proprietary application. Additionally, you will play a vital role in liaising with Design Engineers and Product Managers to resolve any queries regarding the automation of product drawings.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Collaborate with Business Analyst to understand Business requirements and effectively translate them into technical requirements for the development team.

  • Ensure that the proposed solution is feasible with given technology and resources.

  • Support for planning technical specifications for the features / system design, ensuring clear roadmap for development and deployment.

  • Be the prime point of contact at times of complex technical clarifications from the leadership team (VP/Director of IT Digital systems / Tools)

  • Direct and guide the Automation Engineers throughout the Tools / Application development cycle (Design, Development, Coding, Testing, Debugging and Deployment)

  • Maintaining the code quality standards by conducting proper testing and ensure continuous process improvement is in place.

  • Support for the upgrades and periodical maintenance of the system software.

  • Staying updated with latest technologies and industry trends

  • Driving innovation within the team by training and mentoring

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Autodesk Products/ NX CAD or any relevant Design Software.

  • In-depth knowledge in VB.Net, C, C++.

  • Knowledge in Inventor iLogic Codes.

  • Experience with PLM Software preferably Teamcenter.

  • Experience in ERP Software. (SAP/Oracle Preferred)

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Educational Background : A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Automobile, Aeronautical, or Production Engineering provides a solid foundation.

  • Engineering Standards : An in-depth understanding of engineering standards, including industry-specific norms and best practices, is crucial.

  • Modelling and Assemblies: Extensive experience in creating complex models and assemblies demonstrates proficiency.

  • Power Platforms : A strong grasp of Power Platforms, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate, is advantageous.

  • MS Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is essential for effective communication and documentation.

  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills are vital for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
