Job Description:

Office Assistant III

JOB DESCRIPTION :

  • Performs a variety of general administrative tasks, such as preparing reports and correspondence, coordinating travel, and meeting arrangements, answering phones, filing, and sorting and distributing mail, in support of the day-to-day operations of an office, group or customer.

  • Assist in coordinating employees and outside resources to job sites.

  • May collect and input timesheet data into automated accounting system and process labor corrections.

  • May process invoices for consultants and subcontractors, and travel and expense reports.

  • Serves as point of contact for the office or group on issues related to accounting, human resources, purchasing, and other departments, as well as outside contacts such as customers, vendors, and subcontractors.

  • May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of experience

  • AA/AS

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Effective administrative and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in the use of basic office-related software applications, Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.

  • Must be familiar with shipyard environments.

  • Must be able to obtain a DBIDS/NAVSEA badge for access to Naval Bases, Naval Facilities and obtain access badges to private shipyards (BAE, NASSCO, etc.)

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Must be an US Citizen.
