Hoffmann Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to work on our fleet of 10 single-engine pistons, twin pistons and multi-engine turboprops. We offer an excellent work environment focused on quality and safety. The ideal candidate will be a team player, take pride and ownership of their work, and eager to learn. $28-30/hour and eligible for overtime at 1.5 times the base pay rate for hours worked over 40 in a pay week.

The Aircraft Mechanic performs preventative maintenance, inspections, modifications and repairs in accordance with FAR, manufacturer's recommendations, technical manuals, and industry standards.

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure inventory of critical components are available for unscheduled maintenance.

  • Maintain aircraft appearance, both exterior and interior.

  • Provide for the security, care, and maintenance of the hangar, tools, and equipment.

  • Ground-run and taxi all equipment as trained and authorized by the DOM.

  • Ensure all internal records are maintained to track aircraft and equipment squawks, diagnostics, repairs, parts, inspection, and return to service information.

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

    Required:

  • 2+ years of experience, preferably in general aviation maintenance.

  • Attitude and work performance that demonstrates Safety and Quality First attitude.

  • Strong written, reading and verbal use of the English language.

  • Maintain positive relationships with employees, vendors and customers.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.

  • Available to work overtime as needed.

    Preferred:

  • A & P rating.

  • Associate degree in aviation maintenance.

  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in general aviation.

  • Inspection Authority (IA) certification.

  • Experience with structural repair, particularly sheet metal preferred.

  • Available to travel as required to meet Hoffmann Aviation mission objectives.

    Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to access file cabinets/shelving, aircraft undercarriage at various heights.

  • Visual acuity to see close, distance, color, peripheral and depth perception.

  • The ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and work at heights up to six (6) feet.

  • The ability to occasionally work outside during all seasons of the year.

  • Overtime may be necessary during major inspections and busy seasons.

  • Ability to pass a drug test, motor vehicle and criminal background check.
