Meta AML Models Analytics Lead in Chicago, Illinois

Summary:

As a member of the Meta Payments Compliance Team, you will drive efforts related to both improving and developing AML models for new products /to address gaps/risks identified across all AMLmodels ( TM AML , ERR, CRR) in the Payments Compliance area. You will work collaboratively with a dynamic group of cross-functional stakeholders including but not limited to Legal, Product, Engineering, Finance and Marketing. You may have side projects to help create innovative scalable AML compliance systems and processes to harness the "transactional" power of Meta, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and other Meta companies. You will help Meta Payments ensure that its compliance policies, internal controls and systems help Meta in its mission to make the world more open and connected. Meta Payments maintains a risk-based Policy and Program designed to ensure compliance by Meta Payments and its affiliates with governing law.

Required Skills:

AML Models Analytics Lead Responsibilities:

  1. Drive end-to-end design and implementation process to develop AML rules/models.

  2. Support new product launches and cross-functional initiatives by: 1) Understanding product risks and regulatory requirements 2) Defining model controls requirements to mitigate the risk 3) Driving the model controls implementation through collaboration with XFN partners across product, engineering, Compliance, Data and Operations teams to build effective AML Models rules across payments products

  3. Support continuous improvement of AML model through: 1) Monitor alert trends and statistics 2) Recognize new/emerging patterns and risks Identify existing gaps and risks 3) Identify opportunities for greater effectiveness and efficiency 4) Propose changes to existing models or new models to expand coverage 5) Drive the implementation of changes for continuous improvement

  4. Recommend threshold based on statistical quantitative analysis and ATL /BTL testing

  5. Participate actively with Governance and Oversight teams to and ensure Model related efforts are in compliance with the governance framework

  6. Provide periodic and thorough updates related to ongoing efforts , trends, and compliance issues with Leadership

  7. Work with competing priorities & cross functional teams, and is able to work with minimal guidance

  8. Clearly summarize, document, and communicate findings and recommended action items in a timely manner to compliance management and/or other internal stakeholders when appropriate

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree & equivalent experience in Compliance at a financial /payments/e-commerce /money transfer services company
  1. 4+ years of experience in Transaction Monitoring program development, implementation and validating systems/controls

  2. Experience in statistics and SQL/python to effectively assess and develop AML Transaction requirements

  3. Experience executing projects requiring cross-organizational alignment and prioritization

Public Compensation:

$116,000/year to $168,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
