Key Responsibilities:

Network Planning and Scheduling is responsible for determining the routes, aircraft types, and timings of one of the largest and fastest-growing networks in the world. Analysts are responsible for evaluating widebody fleets within the United Airlines network and making adjustments to optimize aircraft schedules with consideration to operational criteria.

  • Develop aircraft schedules that meet operational criteria considering items such as aircraft flows, turn times, equipment type compatibility, gating constraints, crew availability, and other parameters

  • Analyze network and fleeting constraints to assist in determining long-term fleet strategy

  • Work cross functionally with commercial and operating groups to ensure viability of network plans

  • Analyze fleet deployment to maximize revenue and minimize costs

  • Perform ad-hoc analyses on the profitability of United Airlines route network and fleet

Please note: This position may be hired at the Associate Analyst or Analyst level, depending on candidate background, skill level and experience.

This is a Chicago-based, hybrid role.

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 1-3 years professional analytical work experience

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Complex problem solving through independent critical thinking skills

  • Quantitative analysis

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
