Job Description

This mid-level position is responsible for supporting the Community Development Team with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) investments portfolio administration and management, including, but not limited to, preparing investment presentations for committee approval, community development financial analysis, and monitoring the investments portfolio.

The Community Development Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for Preparation of financial analysis for new and existing investments and assistance with preparation of draft investment presentations for committee approval and department reports, Communication with internal and external parties related to the processing and maintenance of the investment portfolio; this includes data collection, due-diligence, ongoing covenant compliance reporting, and transaction processing (wire transfers, closing binders, etc.), Maintenance of investment portfolio data and tracking tools and assistance in preparation of reports to senior management.

How you'll succeed

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, quarterly reports, and capital account statements. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and other requirements. Develop and manage financial models for community development projects. Conduct due diligence, risk assessments, and analyze trends in community development funding, grants, and resources.

  • Investment Activity Transactions Processing: Facilitate capital call and distribution payments. Process investment onboarding workflow tasks and systems recordkeeping.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with investment managers to coordinate data reporting collection. Provide financial analysis and insight in investment presentations to inform decision-making at leadership and committee levels.

  • Collaboration & Team Support: Collaborate with CRA Investments team members and other departments such as finance, lending, and client specialists, to ensure financial alignment. Participate in community and customer engagement as well as bank-wide volunteerism activities.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's Degree in community development, urban planning, real estate finance, accounting or related field required.

  • Professional experience in community development finance, real estate finance, urban planning, or commercial banking required. Two to three years of progressive experience preferred.

  • Commercial credit training or commercial banking experience strongly desirable.

  • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills preferred.

  • Strong critical thinking ability; detail oriented; and able to independently manage multiple projects and timelines necessary for success.

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications skills required.

  • Knowledge of Community Reinvestment Act and community development finance preferred.

  • Strong commitment to community development and relationship building is desirable.
