The Senior Analyst, Tax Accounting will support the Company’s global US GAAP income tax accounting and reporting. The position will assist with the Company's reporting of income taxes and related disclosures for annual and interim reporting periods as well as forecasts for management.

This person will also provide technical expertise in tax accounting matters and be responsible for obtaining pertinent data, financials or business facts and analyzing for proper tax accounting treatment. The position also includes responsibilities related to various global processes and maintaining tax reporting controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley standards.

The individual will contribute to ensuring the delivery of complete and accurate tax accounting calculations in a timely manner, including income tax expense, deferred taxes, current taxes payable and liabilities for uncertain tax positions. This position will work closely with other finance departments such as financial planning & analysis, consolidations, corporate accounting and other areas of global tax as well as regional finance teams.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Administer OneSource Tax Provision (“OTP”) software system for tax accounting hard-close / year-end provision and return to provision calculations

  • Coordinate with Tax Technology & Data team to reconcile and load data into OTP and for use in other tax accounting processes

  • Review of tax accounting submissions for assigned corporate responsibilities, including ETR forecasts, annual tax provision computations, tax return true-ups, uncertain tax positions, valuation allowance analysis and tax account analytics

  • Provide US GAAP tax accounting guidance to local tax and finance teams

  • Ensure compliance with tax accounting controls and maintain documentation to evidence reviews and other control activities.

  • Assist with the tax accounting implications of significant transactions, tax planning projects and pending legislation.

  • Assist global tax accounting team to enhance and simplify tax accounting processes to efficiently support tax planning and other finance departments

  • Assist in the preparation of various interim and annual financial statement disclosures, including gathering, reviewing and maintaining proper supporting documentation.

  • TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in U.S. GAAP tax accounting requirements and procedures including working knowledge of U.S. and non-U.S. tax laws and concepts.

  • BUSINESS ACUMEN and understanding of our business and finance beyond the tax scope. Relevant tax accounting experience in a Big Four accounting firm and/or in a large global corporation.

  • LEADERSHIP SKILLS including proven business partnering and communication skills across a large global, public company.

  • GROWTH/DIGITAL MINDSET and the ability to identify strategic opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • INTEGRITY and sound judgement in all decisions and interactions aligned with our values, policies and external regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

  • Advanced degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred

  • 5 or more years of experience preparing and/or reviewing US GAAP income tax provisions

  • Big Four public accounting experience strongly preferred

  • Experience using OneSource Tax Provision software strongly preferred

  • A strong interest in technology and its use in business processes

  • Prior experience administering SharePoint

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required

  • Advanced Excel capabilities required

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in complex situations with tight deadlines

  • Strong working understanding of financial statements

  • Ability to challenge tax colleagues on technical matters and support positions taken based on tax knowledge and application of ASC 740 tax accounting principles

No Relocation support available, however for candidates voluntarily moving internationally some minimal support is offered through our Volunteer International Transfer Policy
