Curtiss-Wright Corporation Facilities Assistant in Christchurch, United Kingdom
Curtiss-Wright is looking for a Facilities Assistant to join our Facilities team at our state-of-the-art facility by Bournemouth Airport. This role will provide crucial support for our business ensuring the smooth running of the building, quick resolution of any issues and operating to comply with Health & Safety measures at all times. The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for a variety of facility maintenance functions to include general maintenance activities, hosting external contractors, supporting the business units as needed and a variety of ad-hoc duties.
Location : Christchurch, UK
Supporting maintenance mechanics and facilities staff by performing maintenance duties such as furniture moves, electrical projects, spot painting and/or cleaning, light construction and/or exterior cleanup.
Working outside with contractors on building and equipment repairs.
Operating site equipment as needed, using hand and power tools as necessary.
Performing other activities such as audio-visual (AV) set up for meetings or conferences, inter-office mail deliveries.
Responsible for recycling and associated duties.
Maintaining documentation such as power diagrams, network diagram, space usage, etc.
Supporting vendors/contractors such as security force, cafeteria etc.
Ensuring Health & Safety is followed at all times.
Proven maintenance skills ideally gained from a manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work under own initiative and ability to prioritize tasks.
Flexibility to work ad-hoc hours to meet the needs of the role.
