About UC Clermont UC Clermont is an open-admissions, regional campus thirty miles east of the University of Cincinnati in Batavia, Ohio, with an enrollment of approximately 3000 students. The college offers a variety of certificates, transfer programs, two-year associate degrees, and baccalaureate degrees. Job Overview UC Clermont College is seeking qualified instructors to teach American Sign Language. Applications are being accepted to teach online synchronous and/or face-to-face part-time for the upcoming terms (as needed). Essential Functions On a part-time basis, conduct and teach assigned undergraduate courses to a diverse set of students. Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities. Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications. Instructors are responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and assessments. Use UC's course management system (Canvas) Hold regular office hours to meet with students Complete any trainings required by the college Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Academic degree in an appropriate discipline, minimum bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred Teaching experience, preferably college-level Native or near-native proficiency in ASL Online teaching experience Additioal Application Information The application must include: Cover letter, demonstrating evidence of educational background and teaching effectiveness in face-to-face and online environments Current CV.
