About the Role The Legal Technology & Operations Business Analyst role is a highly collaborative role requiring strong communication skills, analytics skills, and the ability to understand how other departments function. The analyst is responsible for understanding business intelligence data to make recommendations on how to optimize processes / systems and improve efficiency. You will perform a range of duties including analyzing data, creating reports and dashboards to track key metrics, and ensuring that legal systems effectively meet departmental needs. What you will be doing Develop and maintain metrics and reporting systems to track departmental performance. Analyze and interpret legal data to generate actionable insights and support decision-making. Work cross-functionally to analyze processes, develop best practices, and optimize operational workflows, with focus on automation and scale. Provide key support in managing legal tech solutions, such as e-billing platform (Brightflag) and Contract Lifecycle Management tool (Conga CLM), to support users and optimize functionality and track key metrics. Provide general user support and administration of various legal systems and tools, including troubleshooting of issues and escalation to IT or other support teams as needed. Develop reports and processes to monitor people, processes, and spend throughout the legal department Research and remain current on innovative technology applications, products, vendors, and technology (including AI-based tools) to inform investments based on expected ROI. Help design, manage, and facilitate legal enablement programs to provide training on legal processes and tools to Legal and business partners. Design, implement, and maintains procedures related to Legal processes, applications, and any related information databases to standardize and govern use. What you bring: Demonstrated experience in business analysis and/or business solution design, including requirement documentation and design in the legal and/or compliance space Strong data analytics skills and experience in developing metrics / dashboards for reporting purposes using tools such as Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, etc. Experience relevant contract management processes strongly preferred Broad knowledge of how to effectively manage process or technology-related changes or other significant changes that will impact Legal team Basic knowledge of emerging technology trends (e.g., AI) Customer-service orientation in building strong relationships with internal stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, organization, prioritization, team-building and conflict and time management skills Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas Strategic thinker with demonstrated sound business judgment, understanding of business purpose of each project and decision making within that context P
