Responsibilities: This position in our growing reimbursement practice offers an excellent opportunity for candidates who possess a strong attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking skills, the ability to adapt to changing regulatory requirements and are sensitive to deadlines. Dedication to client service is essential to coordinating work for our clients. Qualified candidates will work with our healthcare team. As a member of the National Healthcare Group, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of financial, billing and compliance projects, but a primary focus would be in regulatory reimbursement consulting services. In addition, you would be involved with several Medicaid state level projects including hospital supplemental payments and general Medicaid reimbursement topics. How you will contribute: Prepare Medicare & Medicaid cost reports Provide services related to disproportionate share hospital payments, uncompensated care, Medicare bad debts, wage index, graduate medical education/IME, settlement issues, PRRB Appeals, and other evolving special reimbursement projects Assist with a variety of financial, billing and compliance special projects Access client information and manipulate large data files from disparate sources to improve third-party payer reimbursement Participate in the development and implementation of consulting projects/service deliverables for healthcare clients Assist with research in numerous regulatory areas We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and: a professional appearance and disposition; the ability to be detail oriented; strong initiative and problem-solving abilities; a commitment to client service; organizational and time management skills; analytical and critical thinking skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; an ability to prioritize work for multiple clients and consistently meet deadlines. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Management Information Systems Strong knowledge of basic accounting Demonstrated capability and experience with databases, data manipulation, reporting and analysis Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong computer skills and the ability to work with various computer applications, including Windows, Adobe and various internet applications. Preferred Qualifications: Accounting and/or consulting experience within the healthcare industry Licensed certified public accountant Applicants for positions with FORVIS must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
