Robert Half Credentialing Specialist in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Credentialing Specialist for our healthcare organization. Your primary role will be to review and verify the credentials of healthcare providers in accordance with industry standards and organizational policy. The ideal candidate will return queries promptly, maintain accurate records, and assist medical staff with the completion of credentialing applications and supporting documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, monitor, and maintain the credentialing and re-credentialing process.

  • Timely processing of provider applications and re-applications including initial mailing, review, and loading into the database tracking system.

  • Responding to provider inquiries regarding application status and coordinate with other team members when needed.

  • Track the expiration of licenses and certifications and send reminders to healthcare providers to renew.

  • Maintain up-to-date data for each provider in credentialing databases.

  • Ensure timely renewal of licenses and certifications.

  • Conduct audits to ensure all information is accurate.

  • Prepare and maintain reports for credentialing activities.

    Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Previous experience in health care administration or a related field.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare credentialing regulations.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
