Data Governance Director - Responsible Use The role of Data Governance shapes the processes, roles, policies, standards, and metrics that ensure the responsible, effective, and efficient use of information. Data Governance professionals must be intrinsically familiar with the business meaning, use, and strategy for data to effectively oversee the entire data lifecycle from ideation, architecture, development, and production. By combining tactical skills with a deep understanding of global Data Privacy Regulation (i.e. GDPR, CCPA), local data-centric regulations (i.e. SOX, GLBA), and industry best practices (i.e. AI Ethics, PII, IAPP and PCI credentials and certifications), Data Governance is a critical partner to Enterprise Risk, Information Security, Compliance, Privacy, and Legal to enable and drive business goals and FIS data strategy, while helping to protect from risk. This key position, within the Data Strategy & Solutions (DSS) organization, reports to the Head of Enterprise Data Governance and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the ethical use of artificial intelligence, robust data governance practices, standards, and guidelines and compliance to data policies, standards, and processes. The Data Governance Director - Responsible U and their team help lead the definition, implementation and adherence to organization's data governance frameworks, processes, and systems, to drive strategic and responsible use of data, while applying principles of innovation and efficiency What you will be doing: Build and oversee the global enterprise Responsible Data Use Governance function for Worldpay. Cultivate and embed a strong responsible data use culture across the company. Partner with Privacy, Legal, Enterprise Risk, and Compliance stakeholders to develop the enterprise data risk management framework and related policies and processes, ensuring they meet regulatory expectations and are tailored to the business, while also enhancing operational efficiencies Assist in defining Worldpay's data risk management and responsible use strategy and develop a governance framework that aligns with business goals, objectives, and priorities. Establish data risk management policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure responsible use. Build the strategy and framework to deliver a contract metadata governance capability to the organization. Provide mentorship, learning opportunities and tailored plan for the professional development of direct reports. Cultivate an open, cooperative, and collaborative learning culture for the organization. Demonstrate proactive thought-leadership by actively keeping up to date on industry trends and developments by making recommendations for areas of opportunity and improvement. Write documentation including data governance workflows, playbooks, standards, guidelines, taxonomies, operating procedures, and corporate data policies. What you bring: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, or Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. High-level understanding of global Data Privacy Regulation (i.e. GDPR, CCPA), local data-centric regulations (i.e. SOX, GLBA), and industry best practices (i.e. AI Ethics, PII, DCAM, IAPP and PCI credentials and certifications) Ability to build relationships and credibility across the organization.
