The role of Data Governance shapes the processes, roles, policies, standards, and metrics that ensure the responsible, effective, and efficient use of information. Data Governance professionals must be intrinsically familiar with the business meaning, use, and strategy for data to effectively oversee the entire data lifecycle from ideation, architecture, development, and production. By combining tactical skills with a deep understanding of global Data Privacy Regulation (i.e. GDPR, CCPA), local data-centric regulations (i.e. SOX, GLBA), and industry best practices (i.e. AI Ethics, PII, IAPP and PCI credentials and certifications), Data Governance is a critical partner to Enterprise Risk, Information Security, Compliance, Privacy, and Legal to enable and drive business goals and FIS data strategy, while helping to protect from risk. This key position, within the Enterprise Data Governance organization, reports to the Data Governance Director of Responsible Use and is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of data governance capabilities aligned to strategies to ensure the ethical use of artificial intelligence, robust data governance practices, and compliance to data policies, standards, and processes. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING * Maintain the relevance and accuracy of metadata within the Enterprise Data Governance Information System. * Provide regular reporting on Enterprise Data Governance KPIs, metrics, and activities. * Lead, evolve, and scale the Responsible Data Use governance framework including managing the relevant objectives, approach, processes, policies, technology, and procedures. * Lead and support the implementation of the contract metadata governance capability to the organization. * Drive data governance adoption through stakeholder consultation and trainings (i.e. RegU, Lunch and Learns, playbooks) * Works with cross-discipline teams to understand privacy, legal, and ethical considerations in the use of artificial intelligence/machine learning and analytics. * Demonstrate proactive thought-leadership by actively keeping up to date on industry trends and developments by making recommendations for areas of opportunity and improvement. * Act as the point of contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Business LOB stakeholders, Business Data Stewards, and Technical Data Stewards for data use governance related questions/concerns * Write documentation including data governance workflows, playbooks standards, guidelines, taxonomies, operating procedures, and corporate data policies. WHAT EXPERIENCE WILL YOU HAVE? * Data analysis skills with experience using enterprise tools such as Informatica IDQ, Informatica MDM, Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog, Informatica Axon, Collibra, and other metadata management tools * Deep understanding of global Data Privacy Regulation (i.e. GDPR, CCPA), local data-centric reg
