The Chief Data Office (CDO) is an enterprise authority empowered by the Executive Oversight Committee to define data management strategies, drive data management priorities, and issue Enterprise Data Standards and guidelines with the goal of enhancing and continuously improving the controls over creation and maintenance of data. The CDO drives data management discipline for the firm and fosters a culture that recognizes data as the fuel that drives our business. The assistant vice president Data Quality Senior Analyst role will have responsibility for developing and executing data quality scorecards which is a critical function within Data Quality Measurement.
The Finance Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for the onboarding of scorecards within the Finance taxonomy. These activities require coordination with the Finance global functions business and their technology partners to develop and implement Data Quality scorecards and provide subject matter expertise through this process. Specific duties will include but are not limited to the following activities: -Build data quality assessments and measurement of critical data utilized by Citi strategic systems and processes supporting Citi Global Functions and Sectors. Accountable for understanding and documenting systems, data flows and data quality rules driven from the profiling and assessments of critical data. Interact with business and technical staff who support the Global Functions, ensuring the data quality scorecards are measuring fit for purpose data.
Basic knowledge of Financial Services Industry, including Data Quality principles and practices preferred
1-3 years Software Experience preferred
Experience with capturing data requirements with models and data flows
Proven ability to ask probing questions and obtain thorough and relevant information.
Experience coordinating with other teams/resources.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team and cross-functional team members.
Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Proven time management skills are necessary. Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities [or tasks], deliver timely and accurate work products with a customer service focus, and respond with a sense of urgency as required.
Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and strong problem solving skills.
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and data processing skills. Proven ability to follow detailed instructions is essential, along with proven problem solving skills.
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work well within a diverse team.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing client needs.
MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Microsoft project skills.
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
