JobName : Power BI Developer

This position is for an intermediate to advanced PowerBI developer, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions. The role will work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design, and develop reports and dashboards, and ensure that data is accurate, reliable, and secure.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and develop business intelligence solutions using Power BI

• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders to develop reports and dashboards

• Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and business users to ensure that the solutions meet the organization's needs

• Develop and maintain data models and metadata to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data

• Maintain and support existing solutions, including troubleshooting issues and providing timely resolutions

• Design and develop custom reports, dashboards, and scorecards

• Find correlations in data to discover meaningful insights

• Ensure that the solutions are optimized for performance and can handle large volumes of data

• Design and develop SQL Server tables, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers to be used during the ElL process

• Design and develop SSIS / SQL ETL solutions to acquire and prepare data from numerous upstream business systems for processing

• Build data transformations with SIS, including importing data from files and moving data from one database platform to another

• Debug and optimize SSIS or other ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient movement of data

• Test and prepare ETL processes for deployment to production and non-production environments

• Apply problem solving skills to analyze data/process problems

• Assist with process improvement needed to achieve operational excellence

Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Power Bl platform, including Power Bl desktop, Power Bl service, and Power Query

• Experience designing and developing custom reports, dashboards, and scorecards in Power BI

• Experience working with SSIS packagesExperience with SQL development using Microsoft SQL Server or Azure SQL Server

• Proficient with ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS or Azure ADF

• Proficient in T-SQL, query optimization tools and techniques, data modelling techniques

• Proficient in BI fundamentals and logic

• Good understanding of star schema

• Good understanding of source control best practicesExperience with Azure DevOps, Git, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor Good technical background, analytical, and problem-solving skills Familiarity with data visualization best practices and principlesCapable of communicating effectively in both verbal and written form

• Experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake is not necessary, but desirable

• Experience with Power Apps is not necessary, but desirable
