Nexstar Media Group Master Control Operator in Clarksburg, West Virginia
WBOY, north central West Virginia's top-rated Television station, is looking for an entry level Master Control Operator. The Master Control Operator is responsible for the overall on-air look of the television station through airing programming and scheduled station breaks.
Quality control of local commercials and promos
Transfer local commercials and programs to the Hub and ensure they are received
Effectively communicating with the Hub and ensuring they have required
Review logs for missing media.
Ensure that break times during newscasts are the same on both networks
Monitor our on-air product
Requirements & Skills :
Computer savvy with strong desire to learn.
Reliability, Responsibility, & Teachability are qualities we are looking for in this position.
Education and/or experience in digital electronics, broadcasting, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
Fluency in English
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written .
Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.
Strong PC/MS Office experience
Experience with digital transmitters and other broadcast-related equipment a plus, but not required.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Flexibility to work any shift
