Our valued client is currently seeking an Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal within their engineering department, with a primary focus on ammonia refrigeration systems. The position also involves engagement across multiple engineering disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Facilities, and Process. Candidates must possess an Engineering degree and a minimum of one year of hands-on experience wiokring with Industrial refrigeration systems.

responsibilities:

  • Providing sought-after counsel within the field of expertise in Industrial Refrigeration Engineering.

  • Making decisions within designated assignments that influence departmental goals.

  • Collaborating closely with the site Engineering Manager and various departments to address day-to-day issues.

  • Developing alternative solutions to problems and handling complex issues independently.

  • Providing engineering project support for the design and implementation of new and upgraded facilities, systems, and equipment used in manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with FDA's Good Manufacturing Practice Regulations and environmental/personal safety standards.

  • Working in one or more areas of Engineering within a Manufacturing environment, such as Project, Plant & Reliability, and/or Utilities.

  • Collaborating with other functional areas in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, etc.

  • Training others at the entry level based on experience.

  • Designs and operates manufacturing technology for the organization.

  • Supervises quality control and oversees the fulfillment of FDA regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates strong technical and/or regulatory expertise and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Displays flexibility with assignments in different units/plants.

  • Completes assignments in more than one business unit or functional area.

  • Communicates effectively and promptly at all levels of the organization, supporting department objectives and management decisions.

  • Knowledge of different refrigerants such as R134a, R22, NH3, CO2, 404a, R507a, and others.

  • Experience in the conversion of manmade refrigerants to natural solutions or those with lower Global Warming Potential (GWP).

  • Familiarity with cold glycol systems ranging from -25°C to +5°C and warmer temperatures.

  • Understanding of primary, secondary, and tertiary pumping systems.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting problems with freezer evaporators, compressor packages, defrosting systems, etc.

  • Expertise in HVAC systems, including knowledge of differential pressure preferred

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Ideally Mechanical Engineering

  • Minimum of 1 year hands of Industrial Refrigeration experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, technical writing and communication skills.

  • strong technical and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
