What’s a typical day as a Mechanical Technician III? You’ll be:

• Responsible for the maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of all production and other equipment in the facility

• Performing preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration with minimal downtime

• Installing, modifying, setting up, and qualifying new or relocated equipment

• Providing technical support by accessing, maintaining, and acquiring data using computers and/or machine interfaces

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical data

• Providing support and suggesting areas of potential efficiency improvement to reduce operating costs, improve quality, and increase productivity

• Generating documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines for medical devices

• Assisting in the commissioning, installation, and decommissioning of equipment and executing validation protocols

• Modifying duties associated with the job to meet special requirements

• Being available for on-call emergencies and being a member of the Emergency Response Team once trained

• Ensuring safety policies are adhered to and cross-training production personnel and other technicians

• Assisting in the Machine Shop as needed

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have an associate degree or equivalent through specialized training

• Have a minimum of 4 years of related experience, including providing support for manufacturing operations and equipment

• Have high mechanical and electrical aptitude

• Have the ability to troubleshoot analog and digital circuits to a component level

• Have knowledge of controls and control systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers and A/C Inverters

• Have strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or in teams

• Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all departments and levels
