Project Engineer, Water Resources ID 2024-1845 Job Locations US-OH-Cincinnati | US-OH-Columbus | US-OH-Cleveland | US-OH-Dayton Workplace Type Hybrid Overview This Water Resource Engineer is primarily responsible for assisting with technical delivery on Water Resource projects as well as the budgeting, planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting for specific project phase(s) and/or task(s). This position will be key in establishing and improving levels of team technical competence, quality, and efficiency in Ohio, where Woolpert was founded in 1911. This position will be part of a team engaging with clients across the Water Market in support of client objectives in the areas of: Infrastructure design H&H modeling Data analytics Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study Asset management MS4 permitting compliance Organizational performance Process Improvement Responsibilities Collaboration with program directors, project managers, and senior market team members to solidify a project team in Ohio. Support various phases of our water/wastewater/stormwater management projects from communication with clients to deliverable generation. Perform technical aspects of specified deliverables and/or leads team of technical staff in creating deliverables consistent with scope, schedule and budget. Meet internal and/or external project deadlines. Complying with and implementing clearly defined QA/QC measures. Communicates issues affecting phase/task or project schedule, budget or quality and escalates unresolved issues to project manager, team leader, and/or discipline leader. Qualifications Bachelor degree in an engineering or environmental science program 4+ years of relevant experience in water resource engineering Certified PE license in Ohio Proficiency in AutoCAD and ESRI software is preferred Familiarity with H&H modeling software is desirable. Must be able to engage with project team remotely as well as in person to establish a foundation for growth. Must possess strong communication skills, both written and oral. Must possess strong organizational skills to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities. Must be able to interface effectively with vendors, clients, and other firm resources. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Must be able to make sound decisions/recommendations based on the evaluation and synthesis of project information and data. Must be physically and mentally capable of performing all essential duties required of the position. Task and personnel management experience is preferred Must be willing to travel locally (2-3 hours) to meet project demands monthly.
