Conneaut Creek Ship Repair-Rand Logistics Project Manager-Ship Repair in Cleveland, Ohio

Conneaut Creek Ship Repair-Rand Logistics is seeking a Project Manager. As a Project Manager, you will be the point person for managing the projects and contracts. You will help ensure the most cost effective methods to complete repair work while identifying and mitigating risks. Review costs, schedules, and project plans to identify milestones and roadblocks. Use your excellent communications skills to push information regarding progress of projects and programs. You will be a decision maker and a problem solver, working to accomplish the goals of this organization. Must communicate and work professionally as part of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Estimating & Cost Tracking -- Review time sheets & project expenses to ensure proper coding for cost tracking and financial reporting
  • Scheduling -- Maintained daily and presented weekly in MS Project
  • On-site Management/QA -- Utilize traveler packages for all projects in accordance with QA Program
  • Ensure Safety & Environmental Procedures/Protocol are followed
  • Crew & Subcontractor Management
  • Purchasing -- Requisition all materials, rentals, etc. for projects, as required
  • Welding Procedures & Qualifications -- Maintain all welders and add new qualifications as required

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field with equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of ship repair or marine industry experience preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience is required
  • Ability to read and understand drawings & specifications
  • Proficient with Word and Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD experience preferred

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Must be able to successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • Must be able to climb vertical ladders, lift 50lbs., work in confined spaces, work extended periods in inclement weather, work weekends and holidays as required, work out of town as needed

Salary:

  • $50,000 to $70,000 based on experience, plus benefits
