OhioMeansJobs|Cleveland-Cuyahoga County is sourcing a Stock Personnel for a Retail Company across Cuyahoga County.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Operate pallet jack, dollie, or U-boat to unload merchandise from trucks and stages merchandise in the receiving area and on the sales floor. 2. Use price gun or mechanical pricing devices in order to accurately label merchandise. 3. Display merchandise on shelves according to sequence, size, type and product code. 4. Reach and stock product up to 6 feet high. 5. Maintain backroom stock in an orderly manner, lifting, shifting, and moving boxes when necessary. 6. Properly breakdown excess card board and maintains a clean and safe work environment. 7. Follows proper cleaning procedures for bathrooms, offices, break rooms, and clean-ups throughout the store as directed by the Corporate Sanitation Program. 8. Operates the floor polisher and maintains floors by sweeping, scraping, and mopping. 9. Assist at registers during peak periods with cashiering, packing merchandise, customer carry-outs and general customer assistance. 10. Collect carts from parking lot. 11. Able to lift and stack up to 50 lbs. of merchandise. 12. Able to walk, bend, and stoop between aisles. 13. Able to work regularly and work a posted schedule which is subject to change as business dictates. 14. Follow company dress code policy and represent MGI with high standards. 15. Perform other related duties as assigned. 16. Bale cardboard and use garbage compactor, if over 18 years of age. 17. Assist customers as needed. 18. Perform miscellaneous manual functions in store. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Protect company assets by minimizing or reporting loss through error, damage or theft. 2. Ensure a safe, sanitary work environment for fellow employees and customers. 3. Provide outstanding customer service and relations. 4. Exercise common sense and good business judgment at all times.
First or Second shift, the store closes at 9 pm. Benefits for full-time
