This is a full-time, non exempt position.

NATURE & SCOPE

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for facilitating all of the Production Operations. The Production Supervisor will assist Fermentation Site Manager by ensuring all departments are operating assigned equipment in a safe manner consistent with current SOPs and GMP requirements. The Production Supervisor with assist the Fermentation Site Manager in the timely execution of batches according to the production schedule.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Ensures the safety of all personnel through compliance with occupational safety and health

  • regulations, demonstrate safety leadership through participation in all safety processes with a goal of

  • zero injuries.

  • Adhere to and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and FSMA requirements.

  • Be responsible for the daily plant operations, which include safety and environmental compliance,

  • food safety, quality control, production, cost optimization and efficiencies.

  • Recognized environmental, safety, and GMP hazards and takes actions to ensure the hazards are

  • eliminated so as not to affect employee safety, product quality and environmental purity.

  • Addresses employee concerns and maintain good communications and morale on sift and within

  • department.

  • Learn all the Fermentation/Facilities Technician roles and responsibilities and SOPs specific to each

  • area and equipment in the facility and fill in when necessary due to absences.

  • Facilitate the needs of Fermentation/Facilities Technicians to ensure maximum productivity.

  • Ensure all required batch records and forms are completed in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Ensure all assigned equipment is being operated in a safe, productive, and timely manner.

  • Ensure all products in assigned area are produced according to the batch record and specifications.

  • Ensure assigned equipment and rooms are cleaned according to SOPs in a timely manner

  • Adhere to company rules and safe work practices within the department.

  • Keep work area clean and organized.

Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field

OSHA 10+ hour certification
