Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a permanent opportunity with a very stable and exciting global organization. This role is open due to a promotion and the client is looking for someone who can come in and grow and move up within the organization . As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will lend your skills to developing and implementing accounting policies. Also, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. What you get to do every day

• Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

• Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision

• Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

• Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives

• Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

• Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

• In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

Requirements

• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Comprehensive knowledge of SAP

• General Journal experience required

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Proficiency in general ledger or audit/tax

• Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

• 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Excellent attention to detail

• Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
