Description Robert Half has a great opportunity for a capable and inventive Operations Processor. This long-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity is based in the Columbia, South Carolina area. The main tasks of the Operations Processor is to book loans into the banking platform system and process all essential items required for commercial and consumer day-to-day loan processing. Are you detail-oriented and deadline-driven? Do you have enjoy working with lending or commercial and/or consumer loan operations? If so, then this is the Operations Processor role for you.

Key responsibilities

• Processes reports, monthly payments and accrual adjustments

• Review email, voice mail and other communication and respond fittingly

• Manage payment corrections and amend billing statements

• Confirms information remains accessible by sorting, organizing, and filing documents

• Sustains status and information within processing software system

• Confirms and returns verification of mortgage requests

• Verify new loans, loan renewals, extensions and modifications into database

• Edits outgoing wires and cashier's checks

• Constructs payoff letters and department invoices

• Maintains department-specific spreadsheets, reports and reviews monthly scrub reports

• Reforms codes, status dates and loan information for reporting as and when needed

• Manages payments, advances and payoffs

• Cares about customer confidence by keeping mortgage loan information confidential

• Learns and maintains knowledge of different loan programs and corresponding computer system codes Requirements - Candidates should have at least 1 year mortgage experience

• Should be knowledgeable of word processing and spreadsheets

  • Well versed in financial institution platforms

• Command of Cash Deposits

• Bank Operation experience

• Solid understanding of Bank Deposit

• At least 2 years' experience with lending or commercial and/or consumer loan operations
