About the role

Get ready for an exciting role with CBRE!

Working under limited supervision when supporting assigned service calls, uses intermediate skills to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, building systems and equipment, vehicles, and grounds within a geographical area/route potentially across multiple sites. Uses several trade skills such as welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling. Must be flexible on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety directives related to building operations.

  • Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance, while maintaining accurate records.

  • Review work orders, estimate time and materials needed for repairs, and order necessary supplies.

  • Lead the installation and modification of building equipment systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, HVAC/R, and other building systems.

  • Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety laws.

  • Inspect building systems (such as fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing) to ensure proper operation.

  • Coordinate and inspect the work performed by outside contractors.

  • Support energy management program and ensure efficient operation of systems.

  • Maintain lighting systems, perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.

  • Maintain grounds of the facility, including tasks like raking, sweeping, leaf blowing, and snow removal.

  • May mentor other technicians.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or trade school training.

  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks. Licensure as required by AHJ.
