Description POSITION SUMMARY: 1st shift The Tool Room Utility Operator is responsible for performing the necessary tasks to support tool room preventative maintenance activities. The Tool Room Utility Operator will perform basic tool and die tasks which includes activities such as drilling, milling, grinding, and other tasks as assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: General description of essential functions identified below: * Operates basic equipment to support tool room activities. Performs tasks including, but not limited to drilling, milling, grinding, and other basic machine operations. * Performs minor polishing activities on dies/ details as assigned. * Performs die PM's under supervision. * Performs saw cuts on steel in preparation of machining operations. * Transports dies to and from the tool room and press area as needed. * Performs die wash operations. * Operates overhead cranes, forklifts, and die carts to support the tool room. * Capable of learning and utilizing Maximo system for data entry and PM tracking. * Adheres to all safety guidelines and monitors tool room for potential safety concerns. * Treats all Team Members with respect and dignity. * Performs other tasks as assigned. Requirements * High School diploma or GED. Meet minimum qualifications as defined in the Company's selection process. * Machine and technical aptitude. * Prior experience operating cranes, forklifts, presses, and other auxiliary equipment preferred.
