PSSI Division Technical Services Manager in Columbus, Oh, Ohio

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As the Manager, Technical Services, you’ll be the tactical arm of Technical Services when it comes to all things safety, including:

  • Assist Director, Technical Services in developing and managing Technical Services budget.

  • Approve team expense reports & time off requests.

  • Development and achievement of annual team goals.

  • Assess Team Members performance and generate coaching plans for improvement.

  • Assign Technical Services Team to according to plant needs, relationships, geography, knowledge base, and work load.

  • Manage size of Technical Services team, making proposals to adjust team size as needed for business growth increase/decrease.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Interface with Manager, Regulatory Affairs on regulatory needs of customers and Technical Service Team

  • Oversee the implementation of Technical Services Consulting Services as applicable.

  • Interface with R&D/Food Safety Lab on projects.

  • Participate with R&D/Food Safety Lab on special projects.

  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

YOUR MUST HAVES:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Poultry Science or related field

  • 10 years of experience in the Poultry industry

  • 2 years of management experience

  • Strong computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office products

  • Knowledge of food safety and safety regulations

WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

  • Master’s Degree in related field.

  • Ability to work well within a team, including adherence to core values and dynamic corporate culture

  • Self-motivated with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting

  • Be adaptable to various assignments and non-routine tasks

OUR ENVIRONMENT:

This position is based at a combination of your in-home office and our PSSI facilities within your assigned geographical area. This position will require you to spend time at our plants during their working hours. PSSI facilities may require the use of PPE to protect you from exposure to chemicals and/or airborne particles.
