Administrative Support III - Urology Surgery Requisition ID 2024-49051 Category Administrative/Clerical Overview Admin III- Urology Surgery Clinic The Admin III is responsible for performing a wide variety of complex administrative activities for a Section Chief or VP, and/or others as assigned. Responsibilities Responsible for specialty clinic scheduling Understands different activity types and resources, i.e. procedure, new outpatient appointment, follow-up,, etc. Schedules patients as directed by physicians and nurse practitioners Notifies Service Line Administrator of conflicts with schedule Reschedules patients when clinic is cancelled Maintains statistics regarding unfilled schedules and no show rates Coordinates physician and nurse practitioner schedules in Qgenda Partners with Central Scheduling to address patient scheduling questions / concerns Schedules for the Urology Procedure room Contacts or coordinates calls to all patients a week in advance to collect registration information, when needed At the time of contact for pre-registration confirms that the patient will keep the scheduled time Responsible for patient reminders, as appropriate, a week in advance of appointment in conjunction with pre-registration calls Send itineraries / Helping Hands to patients for the Procedure Room Other duties' as assigned. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; business-related or professional development coursework preferred. Experieince: Must complete Ambassador Program within first 12 months of employment. Experience in a healthcare environment may be desired. Two years previous medical secretary experience. Must be able to manage daily deadlines. Excellent customer service skills to interact with the public internal and external.
