Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist Requisition ID 2024-49052 Category Allied Health Overview Nationwide Children's Hospital is excited to announce the opening of a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist, beginning the summer of 2024. We are seeking bilingual candidates and/or clinical fellowships candidates with knowledge of research-based practices in evaluation, language acquisition, and intervention strategies for bilingual children with communication disorders. Languages we are targeting for this bilingual position include Spanish, Arabic, Somali, Nepali, and ASL. The opportunity is a full-time clinical and educational position, that provides the opportunity to complete the ASHA clinical fellowship with the support of an excellent team of experienced bilingual speech-language pathologists and other experienced speech-language pathology leaders. Following successful completion of the clinical fellowship, the position continues as a full time position at Nationwide Children's Hospital, home of one of the nation's largest and most exciting speech-language pathology departments. The fellowship provides opportunities to engage in multiple aspects of speech-language pathology in an urban environment, including engaging with our AAC teams, Hearing Program and our Diversity Community Outreach Programs. The Speech Language Pathologist screens and/or evaluates speech, language, oral motor skills, swallowing, and cognition, scores and interprets tests, plans and provides therapeutic intervention, provides patient and family education, and communicates with outside agencies and referral sources. Provides age-appropriate care and services to patients from the age of birth to 21 years, and select adult patients.
