Compensation Consultant - Research Institute Requisition ID 2024-49113 Category Human Resources Overview The Compensation Consultant performs a variety of tasks in the administration of Abigail Wexner Research Institute (AWRI) compensation functions and interacts daily with HR colleagues and client groups on compensation practices and guidelines. Responsibilities > Performs in-depth base rate salary analysis on new hires, promotions, demotions, and status changes to ensure employee pay equity. > Responds to market surveys on behalf of the Research Institute and seeks out new surveys to participate in to ensure market competitiveness. > Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends. > Consults with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Partners, and department leaders on topics related to compensation, job descriptions preparation, job titles, and career pathing. > Manages job description database. > Analyzes jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Two years job related experience, required. Strong analytical skills and ability to report, analyze, interpret, and communicate data. > Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel. > Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities. > Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to relay pay philosophies and determinations to all levels of the organization. > Superior attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies in large data sets.
