Decision Support Analyst II - PFK Business Services Requisition ID 2024-48999 Category Information Technology Overview Decision Support Analyst II - PFK Business Services Full-Time, 1.0 FTE Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm The Decision Support Analyst II supports the design, development, and implementation of reports, datasets, and dashboards supporting Partner For Kids (PFK) population health, quality improvement and financial reporting work streams. The Decision Support Analyst II will analyze complex datasets, communicate timely and accurate results to business leaders, detect and investigate data anomalies, and uncover patterns or trends that can drive change. Responsibilities * Translates business requirements into solutions for customers utilizing business intelligence tools and methodologies. * Analyze healthcare utilization and expense trends. * Mines, analyzes, and visualizes large, complex datasets. * Builds externally facing reporting using HEDIS and other population health quality measures. * Tests raw data from payors, as well as internal or external aggregated data sets. * Protects patient and provider confidentiality and data security by following organization and department policies, payor requirements and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Preferred fields of study include Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Information Management, Statistics, Finance, or Computer Science. Skills: * Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong SQL and Excel skills required. * Attention to detail and ability to function independently with minimal oversight. * Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communication to effectively interact with Partners for Kids staff, community-partners, risk-partners, and external contacts. * Ability to manage multiple projects and complete each thoroughly, accurately and on-time. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience analyzing healthcare data. Claims data experience preferred. Experience creating dashboards in a Business Intelligence tool. Power BI or Qlik preferred. Familiarity with hospital coding systems (including ICD, CPT, MSDRG, APRDRG) as well as experience using medical terminology. Experience working in an agile
