Nurse Practitioner Acute Care-Hem/Onc Clinical Services Requisition ID 2024-52572 Category Advanced Practice Provider Overview Nurse Practitioner Acute Care Shift: Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays (three 8-hour shifts). No weekends, holidays, or evenings. Status: 0.6 FTE Unit: Hem/Onc Clinical Services Experience: Hem/Onc/BMT experience and CPHON certification preferred or sought within 2 years Benefits eligible The APP in this role will work with the leukemia/lymphoma team in primarily the outpatient setting to provide care along with other multi-disciplinary team members. The APP will be responsible for performing physical exams, managing exam findings, participating in the ordering of chemotherapy and other medications, and patient education. The most ideal candidate for this role has experience in caring for pediatric Hem/Onc/BMT patients and is CPHON certified. Certification is not required at time of hire but would be advised by 3-4 years of experience in this role. The most qualified candidate for this role has strong communication and organizational skills and is a strong team player. Provides healthcare to individuals or groups that requires knowledge and skill obtained from advanced formal education, certification and clinical experience. Responsibilities Assesses patients and/or populations; develops, implements and evaluates plans of care; clearly documents and communicates information both in written and verbal forms. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines and standards as necessary for the care of the patient Utilizing evidence based practice, serves as a clinical expert for policies, procedures, documentation, and skills.
