Protective Services - Public Affairs Liaison Requisition ID 2024-49017 Category Other Overview Public Affairs Liason - Protective Services Under the general supervision of the Protective Services Business Office Coordinator, this position is responsible for performing a wide variety of access guidance and customer service for the department while being stationed in the hospital. Schedule: Full time, Benefits Eligible, 12am-8:30am, 5 day work week will include weekends. Location: 611 E Livingston Avenue (the FOB) 611 E. Responsibilities Performs SAFE duties for the department. Answers phones and responds to callers needs as required. Relays any special needs or escorts requested by visitors to Protective Services Officer, as needed. Greets guests in a professional, welcoming, and friendly manner and directs them to requested locations. Supports access control by confirming proper credentials for individuals entering and exiting access-controlled areas. Verifies patient discharge paperwork when applicable. Issues badges to guests after determining guests meet requirements. Anticipates possible emergency or crisis situations; directs and performs efficiently, using sound judgment. Provides general clerical support to the department as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge, skills and abilities required High school graduate or equivalent. Experience in assisting and presenting a friendly image to the public. Requires attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively greet and assist patients, guests, and staff to respond to their needs in a pleasant and friendly manner. Ability to read and comprehend hospital/departmental policies and procedures, criminal statutes, and regulatory publications. Requires ability to prioritize duties regarding patients', parents', and visitors' needs and maintain traffic flow in the lobby area. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
