JPMorgan Chase Risk Management - Wealth Management Policy Governance, Vice President in Columbus, Ohio

Candidates for this position will work with the Wealth Management Risk function to develop and maintain policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures, including regulatory compliance measures and risk advisory within the Risk Management Program. The candidate should have strong leadership skills, a strong understanding of the global financial markets, including securities based lending and custom credit. The fast-paced and intense environment requires an aptitude for analyzing and interpreting complex information from multiple sources in a timely manner and presenting results to management. Job summary

As a Risk Policy Vice President in the Wealth Management Policy team, you'll collaborate across the global Wealth Management function, which includes Risk Analytics, Credit Risk, Lending Solutions, Operations, and Legal and Compliance. Therefore, it is essential to be an excellent team player with both technical writing skills and excellent verbal communication.

The candidate should have strong leadership skills, a strong understanding of the global financial markets, including securities based lending and custom credit. Capital Markets knowledge is a plus. The fast-paced and intense environment requires an aptitude for analyzing and interpreting complex information from multiple sources in a timely manner and presenting results to management. This position requires the candidate to prioritize key initiatives and drive results to meet strict deadlines. The role is expected to collaborate primarily with global Credit teams which includes Risk, Lending Solutions, and Operations. Therefore, it is essential to be an excellent team player with great written and verbal communication skills.

Job responsibilities

  • Work with Risk Analytics function to develop and maintain policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures, including regulatory compliance measures and risk advisory.

  • Work closely with Risk to assess documentation needs and further develop risk controls to efficiently mitigate risk

  • Assist in developing, design, implementation, and support of line of business risk management framework, including but not limited to: Risk governance and controls, organization structure, policies and procedures, three lines of defense, risk measures and metrics (risk appetite and limits, monitoring and escalation).

  • Delivery of large-scale risk and regulatory change and technical initiatives. Communicate regulations and strategic risk management objectives/updates to large working groups, including senior management.

  • Identify current state risk management activities and governance structure, assist with formulation of the required/desired state based on regulatory and best practices, conduct gap analysis.

  • Work alongside internal groups such as Credit, Investment, and Fiduciary Risk areas as well as Compliance, Legal, and Operations on matters related to risk controls, model-assessments, incidents, and infrastructure projects.

  • Provide support and guidance for audits and regulatory examinations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate related job experience

  • Experience in Risk or similar finance background

  • Strong business writing skills

  • 5+ years experience in Wholesale Audit, Compliance, Operational, and/or Regulatory Risk Management

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functions to achieve measurable results

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests at the same time

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Project and/or Change Management experience preferred
