Actalent Structural Engineer in Columbus, Ohio


Our focus will be on individuals who are interested in working in the A/E/C industry. Our firm primarily focuses on new building design; restoration and repairs of building structures, facades and parking garages. So, it will be helpful to have candidates who either have worked in the industry previously or have the desire to be in this industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design structural components for mid to large-scale projects

  • Research existing and new material technology to determine practical applications, strength and durability expectations and cost-benefits information, and prepare material recommendations for current and future projects

  • Create and present structural overviews for upcoming projects, and develop reports that include technical details for engineers

  • Use AutoCAD and Revit to create 2D design documents and 3D models for individual components and overall structural plans according to client needs and project requirements for deliverables

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience

  • Previous work experience using Revit

  • Building experience (bridge and industrial experience not considered)

  • Proficient with AutoCAD
