Minimum Education Required:

High School/GED

Certificates/Security Clearances/Other:

High school diploma and minimum three (3) years of experience in building maintenance, or equivalent education and years of experience

Demonstrated understanding of building systems which include, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general building maintenance practices

Associates degree and previous supervisory experience preferred

Certified Facility Manager (CFM) certification through the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) preferred, along with applicable skilled trades licenses

Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, projects, and competing priorities simultaneously

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the building maintenance department.

Supervise work of assigned staff, including assigning and reviewing work, and providing feedback and coaching, and conducting annual performance evaluations.

Develop daily maintenance work plans for staff based on established priorities and process work orders.

Develop maintenance procedures and schedules.

Conduct periodic inspection of buildings and document any observed issues.

Evaluate facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.

Assist in developing the annual department operating budget, review and analyze monthly operating statements and provide information on variances.

Perform related work as required.
