Actalent VDC Coordinator in Columbus, Ohio

Description:

Actalent is currently hiring for a VDC Coordinator to support a reputable Electrical Contractor in the Greater Columbus region. As the VDC Coordinator you would have the ability to either work in-office, hybrid, or remote as you will mainly be preparing 2D layout drawings to be used for BIM modeling or for field installation. The types of projects you would be working on would predominantly be data centers and other commercial buildings including higher education, healthcare, and industrial.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare 2D layout drawings to be used for BIM modeling or for field installation

Prepare field installation and prefabrication drawings

Prepare panel pull sheets with circuitry and wire information

Coordinate and interface with project management staff

Review project drawings, specifications and submittals

Provide QA/QC reviews of installation drawings and BIM models to ensure compliance with contract documents and best construction practices

Contribute to developing department BIM/Layout standards

Attend project BIM coordination meetings and technical committee meetings

Skills & Qualifications:

You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a field electrician, electrical distribution maintenance technician, or an electrical engineer.

Required: You must currently be an Electrician or have electrical construction experience.

You have experience with power distribution 120V/480V up to 15kV, including switchgear, panels, generators, UPS, raceways and transformers

You have experience in reviewing electrical design drawings, specifications and equipment submittals

You have experience in modeling software such as REVIT, Navisworks, or Bluebeam

You have experience in healthcare, data centers, industrial, higher education, or other commercial facilities
