Description

Robert Half is recruiting for a strong Accounting Manager Consultant for a private equity backed Logistics/ Warehouse company in Los Angeles area. The Accounting Consultant will oversee the accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations. This role will record financial transactions, prepare reports, supervise one AR Specialist, and support the General Manager in strategic decision-making in the warehouse operations. In addition, the consultant will assist with monthly and quarterly reports and any ad-hoc reports for the private equity investors. This role will be located onsite in Commerce, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements

• Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts

• Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes

• Manage payroll and ensure timely processing of employee compensation

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support management decisions

• Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff

• Foster a collaborative team environment and ensure adherence to best practices

• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets

  • Excel experience is required

-Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a cross functional team environment

-Knowledge of NetSuite preferred or similar ERP system

-Strong organizational and communication skills

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in preparing financial statements and financial reporting

• Familiarity with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Experience in preparing cash flow forecasts

• Proficiency in variance analysis and financial analysis

• Strong understanding of internal control procedures

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
