We’re looking for a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer in Conshohocken, PA who is committed to working on Advanced Facilities/Life Sciences projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to join a global team of engineers and designers delivering the world’s most state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You’ll also provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will produce installation details, single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, and grounding, lighting, and power plans.

You’ll also assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process, interacting directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site. You and your team will work closely with client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, organizing, and performing Electrical engineering activities under the direction of a Senior/Lead Engineer

• Assuring compliance with Client, Jacobs, and industry standards on your assigned project.

• Developing key Electrical deliverables and aid lead Electrical engineer in the preparation of scopes of work and estimates to support the project.

• Performing calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial applications.

• Performing tier reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practices.

• Must also be familiar with Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio), Smartplant, Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu Navisworks/Revizto

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

• Professional Engineer license preferred, but not required

• 8+ years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems

• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)

• Experience with emergency and standby systems including generators and uninterruptible power supplies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Life Sciences and/or advanced manufacturing facility electrical design experience

• Electrical design experience

• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software

• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas

• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary and international teams
