The Licensed Practical Nurse’s (LPN) primary responsibilities are to provide respectful, comprehensive, and person-centered direct care services to individuals in the residential homes provided by Minnesota State Operated Community Services (MSOCS).
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
Takes temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure readings.
Administers and records prescribed medication.
Keeps clinical charts and reports on the physical and emotional state of clients.
Promotes and participates in rehabilitation activities.
Maintains a clean and hazard-free environment.
Assists with clients' personal hygiene.
May regulate parenteral fluids and administer intramuscular injection.
Administers emergency first aid.
Orders supplies and equipment.
Operate a motor vehicle and possess a current, valid driver’s license
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an approved school of nursing
Current licensure in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse
Must have a valid driver's license
