Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Site Electrical Engineer with a track record of successful contributions to join our ambitious team in Little Island, County Cork, Ireland.

As a Site Electrical Engineer at Johnson & Johnson, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our electrical utilities systems. Responsibilities:

  • Operation and Maintenance of electrical utilities for our utility, supporting the development of strategic plans to meet those requirements.

  • Effective management of electrical utilities , with a strong focus on maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate with colleagues from different departments to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions to optimize electrical utilities systems.

  • Conduct routine inspections and provide maintenance for electrical utilities equipment to maintain peak performance and reduce operational interruptions.

  • Provide technical expertise and support to colleagues in areas such as electrical distribution, power quality, and energy efficiency.

  • Site point of contact for ATEX systems of work.

  • Ownership of the site BCP and compliance program for electrical infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, to a minimum NFQ7.

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in electrical utilities engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical utilities systems, including power distribution, transformers, generators, and switchgear.

  • Proficiency in using electrical engineering software and tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve electrical utilities issues.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams.

  • ATEX trained & certified an advantage

  • Knowledge or operational experience in controls or instrumentation a distinct advantage.
