SUNY Cortland Program Coordinator in Cortland, New York

Position Summary:

The Research Foundation for SUNY’s Liberty Partnerships Program ( LPP ) is excited to recruit for a part-time Program Coordinator at the Cincinnatus School District. The Program Coordinator will collaborate with the partner school personnel, the SUNY Cortland and the LPP Program Director for the development, implementation and evaluation of instructional programs and services to maximize opportunities for successful completion of high school for identified students grades 6-12.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with the partner school personnel, the College, and the Program Director.

  • Implement programs and services with adherence to New York State learning standards.

  • Complete assessments of student progress

  • Work with achievement data

  • Assist in student college and career exploration.

  • Provide monthly enrichment activities for program students.

  • Communicate with parents/guardians on an ongoing basis.

  • Maintain all records and student files on site in the partnering school districts as assigned.

  • Manage cases effectively, timely and thoroughly, aligning with LPP standards and New York State Department of Education reporting requirements.

  • Provide strategic tutoring and academic counseling.

  • Conduct ongoing recruitment for the partner school program.

  • Assist in the planning and development of LPP summer programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated work experience in an educational environment, including teaching, mentoring, counseling, social work and planning and assessment or other relevant areas

  • Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current New York State certification in Adolescence Education Grades 7-12, school counseling

  • Possess a Master’s degree in education, school counseling and/or social work
