10458 - Sr. Functional Safety Platform Engineer

Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced process Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of sprints within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong Sprint/Operation management background, focusing on process build and all service and admin lifecycle to improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • As Functional Engineer - Software, you will be responsible for performing functional safety analysis of internally designed application software and/or platform software.

  • Contribute to the creation of technical requirements.

  • Support implementation of software requirements at the application software layer and/or platform software

  • Lead the development of SW architecture for safety, freedom-from-interference analysis, dependent failure analysis.

  • Derive safety measures (e.g., Plausibility check, Memory protection) in application software and/or platform software.

  • Contribute to test scenarios and procedures to support creation of application quality metrics.

  • Documenting all relevant software requirements, analysis, architecture, verification, and validation events for application software/or platform software

  • Collaborate with various product managers to ensure requirements defined have been captured in test cases and have traceability back to requirements.

  • Implement and execute test strategies to help improve overall quality and test code coverage across ecosystem.

  • Work closely with Product Managers to keep realistic schedules and identify task dependencies.

  • Design and develop integration, regression, and stress tests using industry standard tools.

  • Motivate the development process for efficiency and performance Works together with the software engineering team to enhance and improve programs Participate in daily team and business status meetings.

  • Responsible for execution and alerting of teams and managers of obstacles, issues, and risks.

  • Execute characterization plans, develop analytics, and present clear validation metrics and associated reports to help drive architecture decision-making, and validate the resulting designs.

  • Solve complex analytical requirements using software engineering tools.

  • Implement tools and technologies to provide data governance - data catalog, lineage, change progression.

    Basic Requirements:

  • Over four years of experience developing safety software within the automotive or equivalent industries (e.g., aerospace)

  • Experience in system engineering practices such as requirements authoring, architecture development, failure analysis, and test development.

  • Experience with requirements management issue tracking tools (Jira, Service Now, etc.), and SW version control tools (e.g., Git, Bitbucket, SVN, etc.)

  • Experience with agile software development process.

  • Degree education in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent professional experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of integrity

  • Experience working within a cross-functional teams.

  • Proven experience working on multiple projects.

  • Strong team player; driven to exceed expectations and meet deadlines.

    Salary Range - $112,830 to $173,756
