DESCRIPTION OF WORK The main responsibility of this position is to offer technical support and aid to the forestry staff who are in charge of maintaining the sustainability of the forest resources in the Susquehannock State Forest. The technical support and assistance provided will align with the State Forest Resource Management Plan, Timber Management Operating Manual, and relevant laws of the Commonwealth. All activities carried out will adhere to the policies and procedures set by the Forest District Manager. The Forest Assistant Manager oversees this role.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

This is a seasonal, full-time position without benefits. The season runs from approximately March until November at which the employee is placed on leave without pay. Week 1: Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30 minute lunch

Week 2: Work hours are 7:00 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday - Thursday, with 30-minute lunch; Friday off Overtime & Training: As needed emergency situations, Search and Rescue, trainings and Wildfire You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

An associate's degree in forest technology; or Completion of equivalent formal education in forestry. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree. Conditions of Employment:

This position will require possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions. How to Apply:
