Overview

Principal Product Manager, Enterprise Inventory Optimization

Omnicell’s vision is to transform the pharmacy delivery model by continuing to build a fully autonomous pharmacy. Our goal is to improve patient safety, reduce labor cost, reduce drug spend and improve value in the pharmacy supply chain. As part of this journey, we are transforming our 340b and inventory management product portfolio offering which currently includes split-billing and contract pharmacy management

That’s where you come in.

In this role, you are completely comfortable with defining and validating market opportunities, building business cases, and translating market and customer needs into product and service requirements. You are skilled in responding to requests from multiple market-facing business units, and adept at defining priorities and trade-offs.

Responsibilities

Understand the market opportunity to inform development of our strategy

  • Develop a keen understanding of market segments, buyer personas and buying criteria, win/loss analysis

  • Stay abreast of the changes to the 340B regulatory environment and competitive landscape

  • Develop relationships with customers and prospects. Work collaboratively with the customer and sales teams to understand and document customer and market needs

Create and maintain the product roadmap

  • Develop and maintain a 3–5-year product roadmap for Enterprise Inventory Optimization

  • In close partnership with sales and finance, develop business cases for your product roadmap

  • Secure funding for these product enhancements via the enterprise portfolio investment process

Own the execution of the vision

  • Prioritize problems to solve, make trade-off decisions, and translate business cases into detailed requirements

  • Identify and build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Price and margin: Define targeted price points and margin targets over timeand how they will be collaborativelyachieved workingcollaboratively with pricing, finance, sales, product management, engineering, the customer organization and others

  • Bookings and revenue: collaborate with sales, finance and customer experience to define and support of achieving bookings and revenue targets

  • Market introduction: work collaboratively and with cross functional team members on organizational readiness for launch to market and market introduction

  • Maintain presentations, communications, and other artifacts necessary to explain your products inside and outside Omnicell

  • Report on overall product performance against key metrics and scorecards

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of hospital pharmacy supply chain, inventory optimization and the 340B industry including regulatory environment, challenges faced by covered entities and current vendors

  • Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into product plans and programs.

  • Ability to drive tactically , always maintaining a big picture view.

  • Excellent communications skills: written, verbal, group presentations

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at a time and effectively prioritize to achieve optimal results.

  • Flexibility to partner with and negotiate with colleagues and customers at all levels inside and outside the organization

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10 years product management experience in an agile environment, including all phases of product lifecycle – from innovation to commercialization through sunset.

  • Experience building product roadmaps within the context of overall product and organizational priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred

  • Demonstrable prior experience developing and commercializing products in the 340B space

  • Experience in healthcare technology

  • Experience working with hospital and/or pharmacy operations

  • Demonstrable ability to execute in high growth, fast changing environments

Work Conditions

  • Home-office based position in any US location

  • Extended periods of time in front of a computer using video technology

  • 25% travel US based travel is required (subject to change)
