Do you have experience dispatching in the DFW metroplex? We are looking for a seasoned disptach coordinator for our client in downtown Dallas, Texas. This individual must have experience scheduling and routing drivers, tracking and monitoring route service, and managing daily customer communication. This candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish and must be able to commute into work every day. No remote work available in this role. Over time hours available!

salary: $24 - $25 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and route a fleet of service trucks each business day within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and North Texas areas to ensure timely and effective pick-up/delivery of recycling materials.

  • Coordinate with customers and company drivers to provide them with clear and accurate instructions, schedules, updates or changes.

  • Monitor and track route service throughout the day using best practices, ensuring adherence to assigned routes and schedules, and coordinating any revisions with customers and drivers.

  • Respond and dispatch promptly to customer inquiries and requests using best practice customer service skills. Customer satisfaction is top priority.

  • Collaborate with other departments, including operations and the company sales team to ensure efficient coordination and resolution of operational or customer-related issues.

  • Continuously evaluate and review routes using best practices for optimization opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Utilize industry-specific software to manage and continually update customer information, including current customer service details, addresses and delivery schedules.

  • Be a participant in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

  • Keep current with transportation regulations, industry trends, and best practices related to routing, dispatching, and customer service.

  • Generate ideas on how to improve the company's dispatching service to provide first-class service to customers.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week

  • Schedule Routes (7 years of experience is required)

  • GPS Tracking (7 years of experience is required)

  • Manage Client Communication (7 years of experience is required)

  • Bilingual in Spanish (3 years of experience is required)
